Maximilien Marie Isidore de Robespierre was born on May 6th, 1758, in Arras, a metropolis in northern France. Robespierre and his younger three siblings did not run through the ideal childhood, considering that his pose died of childbirth in 1767. After his mothers death, his father left and the kids were nurtured by maternal aunts and grandparents. He later studied law in Arras for a short time and was accepted in the highly prestigious College of Louis-le-Grand in Paris.
Maximilian Robespierre was elected a deputy to the Estates General in May, 1789. This marked the beginning in his rise to political power. He became very popular among the French population due to his advocacy of democratic reforms and attacks against the anarchy. On July 27th, 1789 he was elected a genus Phallus of the chief executive body, the Committee of Public Safety. As France became modify with ideas of revolution and freedom, chaos and turmoil erupted. It was Robespierres duty to reinforcement and restore the peace. Robespierre, backed by the Committee of Public Safety, mercilessly executed anyone who was suspected to be enemies of the revolution.
This started the Reign of Terror. Ruthless cleaning by guillotine lasted for one and a half historic period and resulted in over 30,000 Frenchman dead.
Although the power Robespierre was given over corrupted him, he was one of the master minds in leading the French rotation in a forward direction.
