My favorite female scientist is Marie Maynard Daly. She was born on April 16, 1921. She was born in Queens, sweet York. Marie was the daughter of Ivan C. and Helen Page Daly. She hook up with Vincent Clark 1961. She had memberships in the American Chemical Society, American Society of biological Chemists, Harry Society, American Heart Association and many more. She had a lot of line of merchandises throughout her life. Her first job was as an instructor of physical science. Her last career was a commission for the knowledge and Technology of the City of New York. She attended Queens College B.A., New York University M.A. and Columbia University Ph.D. Marie Maynard Daly died on October 28, 2003.
Marie made many contributions to science throughout her career in distinct fields of work. Marie Maynard Daly is most know for becoming the first African-American to earn a Ph.D. in chemistry. It was believably hard work for her to keep up with her job and schoolwork.
A challenge she might have had to overcome was racial discrimination because in the early 1900s some people were still in disapproval of African Americans around them and doing certain things. Her schoolwork was probably hard because she studied eight years of chemistry. When she was little she didnt always want to become a scientist but her protactinium did.
