Alice Walkers Women
Alice Walker is an American policy-making activist, author, and poet. through her work she creates meaning of what she is overall trying to convey. She has won many awards including the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and the National Book destine and one of her highest achievements is her novel The Color Purple written in 1983. Alice Walkers Women characters are in fact, womanists, in terms of their sensibility, their personal courage, and in their willingness to take the challenges in the world around them.
Womanism is the subject of women with authority, courage, sensibility, and determination. Womanism focuses on the color of women (mostly black females) and their way of life. Womanism does not have to be political. It is brought to attention for the reason of recognizing the roles, power, and

These women powered on to be successful and fought for what they involveed. ...headragged generals crosswise mined fields booby-trapped ditches... (Lines 14-17), this quote shows how prideful and courageous these women characters were. Through every obstacle they would fight on for meaning and success. The overall powerful statement that is presented is the last eight lines of the poem, ...to discover books, desks, a place for us, how they knew what we must know without knowing a foliate of it themselves (lines 18-25). These lines show that these women fought for the unknown. They fought for the things they never had because they did deserve it equally as everyone else did.
