Alice Walker is an American policy-making activist, author, and poet. through her work she creates meaning of what she is overall trying to convey. She has won many awards including the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and the National Book destine and one of her highest achievements is her novel The Color Purple written in 1983. Alice Walkers Women characters are in fact, womanists, in terms of their sensibility, their personal courage, and in their willingness to take the challenges in the world around them.
